Legal Aid Authority

The Saint Lucia Legal Aid Authority in Saint Lucia is established under the Legal Aid Act, Chapter 2.17 of the Revised Laws of Saint Lucia, provides legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford private legal representation. It’s a corporate body administered by a Board and headed by a Director, with the goal of ensuring access to justice for all citizens.

The Board members are appointed by the Minister responsible for Justice and must have experience in areas like law, court procedures, business, finance, or management.
