Land Advisory Disposal Committee

The Land Advisory Disposal Committee (LADC) of Saint Lucia is a Cabinet-appointed body responsible for advising on the transfer and disposal of Crown lands. Established under the Crown Lands (Disposal) Regulations, upon request, the committee evaluates applications for land transfers, ensuring compliance with legal and policy frameworks. It assesses the suitability of land for disposal, considering factors such as public interest, development potential, and environmental impact. The LADC’s recommendations assist the Cabinet in making informed decisions regarding land disposals. While the committee’s advice is not binding, it plays a crucial role in guiding the government’s land management strategies. The committee’s composition includes professionals with expertise in land administration, surveying, legal affairs, and government land management. Members are appointed for a term of two years.
