Architects Registration Board

The Architects Registration Act (Chapter 5.13), revised as of 31 December 2019, establishes the legal framework for the registration and regulation of architects in Saint Lucia. Its primary aim is to oversee the practice of architecture, ensure professionalism, and maintain standards within the field. Under this Act, the Architects Registration Board is created as a corporate body tasked with implementing the provisions of the law. The Board is governed by rules outlined in Schedule 1 of the Act and is subject to section 19 of the Interpretation Act.

The Board’s core responsibilities include registering architects, regulating architectural practice in the country, and upholding acceptable standards of professional conduct. It also appoints examiners for registration-related evaluations and outlines procedures for handling disciplinary matters related to professional misconduct. The Board comprises several members, including professionals like Mr. Jeremiah Phulchere and Mr. Augustin C. Poyotte, with Mr. Adrian Etienne serving as Registrar and Ms. Bina Mangal as Secretary.
