The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) has successfully concluded a destination photo and video production as part of its ongoing strategic partnership with Arsenal Football Club. The production, which culminated on August 2, featured Arsenal legend and former professional football icon Bacary Sagna, whose name, image, and likeness will be used to promote Saint Lucia across a range of marketing and promotional initiatives.
As part of the visit, Sagna engaged with Saint Lucia’s growing Arsenal supporter community including 758 Gooners during a dedicated fan cocktail reception on Friday, July 31. The event provided supporters with a unique opportunity to meet the former defender, participate in an interactive question and answer session, and celebrate the island’s landmark partnership with one of the world’s most recognised football clubs.
Sagna also visited the Saint Lucia Under-14 National Football Team at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, where he conducted a coaching session, joined the players on the field, and shared valuable insights from his professional career. He encouraged the young athletes to remain disciplined, committed, and focused on their personal and athletic development, emphasizing the importance of dedication in pursuing opportunities in football.
The destination production was undertaken in advance of the 2026/27 English Premier League season, during which Saint Lucia will receive significant global exposure through the partnership. The destination will be prominently showcased throughout Emirates Stadium and across Arsenal’s men’s and women’s football operations, in addition to a range of other high-value branding and promotional placements designed to increase Saint Lucia’s visibility among millions of football supporters worldwide.
