Saint Lucia Air and Sea Port Authority

The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), in accordance with the SLASPA Act Chapter 8.13, is mandated to operate and manage the ports in a manner that best serves the public interest. It is responsible for regulating and controlling navigation within port limits and their approaches, as well as maintaining and enhancing port facilities and services. SLASPA also provides essential navigational aids, including pilotage and air traffic control services. Additionally, it oversees all cargo handling operations involving ships and aircraft at the ports, although it may authorize other entities to perform these functions under specified conditions. SLASPA also administers the Shipping Act.
